Job Summary
Castalia Systems is seeking an Enclave Administrator (Microsoft Azure Operations Systems Administrator) Tech IV to join our team in support of an exciting opportunity supporting our intelligence community customer. As part of the Castalia Systems team, you will have an opportunity to leverage your technical skills supporting a variety of customer enclaves in the Azure environment to include supporting the enclave infrastructure to the customer applications and everything in between.
You will work closely with Microsoft Account Delivery Executive and/or Microsoft Project Manager as the Microsoft advocate and sole or shared technical lead. Enable development, analysis, deployment and/or solution to remain on schedule and in line with the current capabilities and future directions of Microsoft products.
Roles and Responsibilities
A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
- Sets up and delegates application-related responsibilities to Customer Mission Applications Administrator (MAA) role, which we provide to our Customer and their Mission Partners so they can administer applications within their enclave.
- Monitors overall system health, performs routine maintenance, and documents / recommends new workflows for stability.
- Manages Operational System Management (through ITSM) escalation and triage as required.
- Troubleshooting and remediation activities as appropriate to include coordination with System Owners, Product Team, and Migration Team.
- Complete regular maintenance on all systems/applications to include patching and vulnerability remediation and identification of end-of-life replacements.
- Complete approved configuration updates/changes and escalates as needed.
- Follows and improves upon Change Request processes and coordination of Situational Awareness to identified points of contact.
- Execution of test cases for resolution of issues implemented by either the EA or external teams, documentation of results and communication back to the appropriate party.
- Other Responsibilities will include:
- Be responsible for physical one-time bulk migration of customer data to the platform.
- Support data migration workshops and/or Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) to assist with data reorganization on Hyperscale
- Execute required pre- and post- migration tasks for reporting back to customer agreements.
- Conduct pre migration checks
- Iterations on failed migration till migration is successful
- Intermediate Update notification
- Fix and respond to issues reported by customer.
- Escalate issues that can’t be resolved through standard troubleshooting guides/process
- Execute data integrity validation steps after completion of the Data Migration Plan and reporting provided for customer records.
- Enclave Administrators should possess the following strengths and experience within the following operational roles:
- Direct Platform Support (Windows Workstation/Server)
- Active Directory Organization and Management (OU and GPO Management)
- Systems Management Technologies (MECM, etc.)
- Azure Solutions Management (IaaS, PaaS, and Virtual Network Components)
- AVD Experience and Component Support (Pools, Workspace, Application Management, Firewall Management)
- Azure Services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Analytics, Containers, Intune, Sentinel, etc.)
- PowerShell
- O365 suite management
- GCC-High support experience
- Azure Purview
- Updating and maintaining all system Authorization to Operate (ATO) documentation and all supporting documentation.
- Azure solutions deployment
- Escalate issues that can’t be resolved through standard troubleshooting guides/process
- Execute data integrity validation steps after completion of the Data Migration Plan and reporting provided for customer records.
- Analyses technical requirements and develop effective technical solutions
- Assist in conceiving architectural designs
- Assist in delivering technical presentations to customer staff

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or industry equivalent experience.
- 7 to 10 years demonstrated performance in related technology.
- Resources must be locally sourced in the DMV area and required to commute on site in the Lorton, VA
- Must have Tech IV level systems administration background in Microsoft Azure hosted environments
- Must have experience supporting C4 operational environments (SAP Experience preferred).
- Experience managing customer relationships
- Ability to self-manage for maintenance of workloads and ensuring appropriate support of all systems/applications/workloads existing within the enclave (operational boundary)
- Experience within the following operational roles:

- In this role you will setup and delegate application-related responsibilities to Customer Mission Applications Administrator (MAA) role. This role is required and provided to our customer/mission partners in order for them to manage their applications.
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification upon start, with at least a Security+ certificate
- Experienced in one or more of the following topics such as cloud technologies, data and AI, security, complex networks, IAAS, PAAS, SAAS, cross-platform integration and large-scale, complex systems and business applications design and implementation.
- This individual will have been trained in one or more of the following areas:
- Microsoft and/or Industry delivery frameworks
- product futures
- Relevant Certified Training associated with Microsoft's products
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting SAP environments
- Experience supporting DevOps environments with SAFe knowledge of operational sprint cadence
- Azure Administrator certification

Salary at Castalia Systems is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, position knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $170,000.00 to $180,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Castalia Systems’ total compensation package for employees.
