Job Summary

Castalia Systems is seeking a Data Engineer, Senior in the Quantico, VA area.

Roles and Responsibilities

A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

• Create, maintain, and optimize data storage and access.
• Design and manage the architecture of a data pipeline/data platform where data is obtained, stored, processed, and queried.
• Utilize programming skills to customize and manage integration tools, databases, warehouses, and analytical systems.
• Maintain and test the data pipeline for reliability, performance, and stability.
• Deploy machine learning algorithms into production environments by configuring data attributes, managing computing resources and setting up monitoring tools.
• Manage and maintain structured, semi-structured and unstructured data; structure and manipulate data for analysis leveraging Python, Java, Scala, Exadata, SQL, SAP, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Oracle.
• Build and manage tools for Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) stages.

Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience.
• At least 10+ years of relevant experience.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Normal office environment.
